WebA problem with upvotes/downvotes is that people do it just to be mean. People disagree, so they just downvote. Then, when people see a downvoted post/comment they absentmindedly downvote it too. WebThis is what I think is holding you back. It’s too similar to unpopular or ironically popular content. People see it,think it’s more “deviantart cringe”, and downvote it without really looking at it. That’s the first hurdle you need to jump. Making people stop so they can actually digest your work without making too many assumptions.
WebReddit has total control over the voting system, I don't see any reason why they would downvote things using some users' accounts; it makes no sense.
