The rest isn't too bad; Check the spokes, steering head, belt adjustment, clutch adjustment, checking the torque on key fasteners, etc. The service manual makes the task easy. My derby cover gasket came with the three O-rings for the drain plugs for about $5.00 total. WebUse a service manual and follow it. All of this will help. When it comes to warranty, some things are obviously manufacturing defects. Some aren't. If you can prove you did things as they said, they won't argue much. When I bought my sportster I got a 500, 1000 mile service. And free inspection as long as I own the bike. And I paid $7,500 new for my bike. It was prolly the best deal I ever got.
