I was using the vertex colors to bake some lighting like Ambient Occlusion and the result in Unity was quite poor compared to Maya, with some abrupt changes. I also had a custom shader to remap some detail texture using vertex color channels,similar to terrain splat maps but the low precision was giving poor results.
Web2 jan. 2024 · I can confirm! I’m getting same problem. I cant export polypaint/vertex color with FBX exporter zplugin for ZBrush 2024.1.2. So I can’t bake textures colors from that FBX exporter. I’m not sure, but this FBX with polypaint was working before on the version 2024.1.1! It works just fine in previous versions ZBrush 2024.1.4 for reference.
